Here’s the Dish: Boogaloos

Brunch, brunch, brunch. That’s my second priority of the summer—with the first being attending Sunset Media Wave, of course. However, summer is nearing its end and I have barely gone out for brunch. Madness. As I’m making plans for a brunch outing at this very moment, I’m going to enlighten you guys on my latest escapade.

Here’s the Dish: Taking on Barista in Matagalpa, Nicaragua

As some of you may or may not know, I embarked on a trip to Matagalpa, Nicaragua for 19 days at the beginning of June through a program called Global Glimpse. I initially feared that I would be separated from my beloved coffee shops during my trip, but I quickly recuperated when I found out there was a coffee shop a block away from the hostel I was staying at.

Top of the morning fellow advent foodies! Welcome to the new installment of Here’s the Dish. Have you ever spent an absurd amount of time deciding where to get a nice cup of joe? If so, have no fear because you’ve come to the right place! Since San Francisco has a plethora of cafes within a one-mile radius of wherever you are, I’ve decided to try a few coffee shops in a specific district. In this mini-series, I will be focusing on the ever-so-gloomy Sunset district. What better way to fight the foggy weather than to indulge in a hot steaming drink?

Here’s the Dish: You’re Rad(ish)

After many weeks of being deprived from brunch, I mustered up the effort to drag my two friends, Faith and Nhi with me to the Mission district to find a restaurant to eat at. Sadly, school has taken a toll on my free time, so I didn’t have much time to go out to eat brunch in what feels to be eons ago. But only roughly 17 weeks until summer, amirite guys?

Here’s the Dish: Cranberry Scones

Season greetings fellow internet-dwellers! I couldn’t help but notice that you must’ve stumbled upon this post because the header lured you in. These — as you can see here — are homemade cranberry scones with a lemon glaze. I love snacking on these because the scones themselves aren’t very sweet, so the lemon glaze is used to bring up the level of sweetness. 

Here’s the Dish: Judahlicious & Trouble Coffee

Although I had initially intended to try out Outerlands, I was on a little bit of a time crunch and was thoroughly disappointed when the waiting time was over hour on a crowded Sunday morning. I’ve heard wonderful reviews about that restaurant, but I will try again another time!

Here’s the Dish: Brownie Cookies

Salutations all and welcome to my first official post for “Here’s the Dish!” I have decided to make brownie cookies — my favorite baked good — since it’s extremely quick and simple to whip up, while also tasting delicious! Two years ago, I stumbled upon this recipe and it has been my go-to dessert ever since. This quickly became my favorite because I’ve always preferred the corner pieces of regular brownies for their chewier texture and found that the brownie cookies have that same consistency throughout every piece. After tasting this brownie cookie hybrid, I was unable to go back to the regular version!
